Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Assesses patient/family health problems and resources, takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care provided by the nursing team. Provides technical nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations. This position requires providing service to a one or more age populations including an ill neonate through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires night call and weekend call. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Graduate of an RN School of Nursing

  • Current CA RN License

  • Current BLS, ACLS, & PALS certification required (PALS may be obtained within 30 days of start in department)

  • Recent ICU or PACU experience required within the last 2 years

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

  • One year recent acute care experience

  • Bachelor degree in health related field

  • Computer literacy

Pay Range

$69.43 – $90.06 /hour
