Position Summary:

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for safe, accurate and professional operation/maintenance of valves and fire hydrants. You will follow written procedures for assessing, operating, maintaining, and testing valves and fire hydrants. You will also become familiar with the duties of the Senior Field Service Technician in order to provide advancement opportunities within the organization.

What your day will look like as a Field Service Technician :

The Field Service Technician will be working outdoors in various types of weather, traffic ,and environmental conditions to assess, operate, and maintain valves and fire hydrants throughout the Greater Atlanta area. Physical demands may include, but are not limited to, frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, standing for a prolonged period of time, regular bending, lifting, and reaching.

This position operates on 4 10-hour shifts Monday-Thursday with occasional Fridays for make-up or OT. In addition, this role may require potential travel outside of the greater Atlanta area for semi-extended periods of time.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES :

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty below satisfactorily.

  • Support tool/equipment assembly and disassembly under supervision, including cleaning tools and equipment.

  • Actively participate in onsite safety and planning meetings to review safety risks and areas of concern based on planning documentation and onsite observations.

  • Keeps site clean and free from potential tripping and safety hazards.

  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, MVR, and DOT physicals

  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organizational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Previous experience working in a field-based or construction environment.

  • Strong communication skills; must be able to understand technical operating procedures, ask questions, and share observations (primary language in the work environment is English.)

  • Good understanding of technology and/or mechanics and the ability to problem-solve.

  • Valid driver’s license with a reasonable driving record.

  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and DOT physical.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 50% or more daily travel

Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. Actual starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.

Salary range:

$45,000.00 - $72,000.00
