Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Story City, Iowa

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in the preparation and implementation of our General Utilities preventative maintenance schedule. Your daily responsibilities will include performing preventative and corrective maintenance on diverse equipment such as boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, and air compressors. You will monitor the functioning of general utilities, order and replace parts as necessary, and communicate any operational changes to managers and other personnel. Additional responsibilities include maintaining HVAC systems, assisting in the maintenance of fire prevention systems, documenting maintenance utilities in systems such as CMMS, and assisting in new hire training and cross-training efforts.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in STORY CITY, Iowa.

Work Environment

Our facility operates 24/7 with maintenance technicians on each shift. You will be reporting to the maintenance supervisor and the maintenance manager. The work schedule includes alternating shifts of 12 hour shifts. Initial training will be provided on the day shift for a couple of months. The dress code is casual but professional - jeans are acceptable but not sweatpants or t-shirts. The facility can get warm. Steel-toed boots are required. Please note, due to the nature of our work, jewelry is not permitted in the facility. Comfort with heights is a must.
