Robert Half Plant Controller in Strasburg, Virginia
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller in Strasburg, Virginia. The primary focus of this role will be to oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. This role also includes direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships, and partnership compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
• Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts. Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
• Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that record-keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
• Report risk issues to the board of directors.
• Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
• Implement and oversee cost accounting and inventory control procedures.
• Manage and monitor all CapEx initiatives and expenditures.
• Oversee the manufacturing financial strategies and activities, as well as banking relationships.
• Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
• Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards. Requirements
• Must have a solid understanding and hands-on experience with Cost Accounting
• Proficiency in CapEx is required
• Experience in Inventory Controls is a must
• Background in Manufacturing industry is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in using financial software and systems
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required
• Professional certification such as CMA or CPA is preferred.
