Hyundai America Technical Center Inc. (HATCI) is looking for a Facility Planner at our Superior Township, MI location.  The candidate is expected to work in a fast-paced environment, comprised of executive leadership, engineering leadership, a broad range of engineering disciplines, and administrators. The Facility Planner is expected to display excellent written and verbal communication, with exceptional interpersonal skills by providing regular support and guidance to the Business Support Team Leader and executives.  In addition to close collaboration with other Hyundai Motor Group affiliates, this role will be responsible for consolidation of information from multiple teams, developing concrete recommendations for long-term facility plans through comprehensive strategic roadmaps, and maintaining confidentiality. Candidates for this position are expected to support and lead corporate-wide initiatives through close collaboration across all levels within the organization to ensure facility strategies meet the requirements of the corporate goals and objectives, both now and in the future. Day-to-day expectations for this position include, but are not limited to: * Collaborating with Facility Team Management and technical personnel to identify project needs and goals * Developing Facility goals and objectives based on feedback and input from multiple teams * Analyzing facility spaces, utilization and providing upper management with recommendations for facility improvements * Requesting and consolidating information from multiple entities (internal and external) * Supporting capital project planning * Establishing and maintaining overall project schedule(s) * Researching building requirements in multiple locations throughout the United States This unique position includes some administrative activities including: developing RFQ's, creating check requests, processing invoices, and other actives, as needed, to move projects from concept ideation to completion. This candidate will have excellent analytic and problem-solving capabilities, exhibit a detail-oriented output, and be self-driven to track efforts for continuous facility improvement. Ultimately, this position will gain a firm grasp on the overall organizational goals, have the ability to react to adapt plans quickly, and have an ability to maintain momentum on multiple projects at any given time. Candidates considered will have... * Strong Analytical and Project Management Skills * Previous experience with construction, Real Estate and/or facility management * An understanding of facility planning, interior design best practices, and sustainability * An understanding of building infrastructures (electrical, plumbing, etc.) * An Ability to conduct Market and secondary research, as necessary * High proficiency skills with MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook * Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing business requirements * A willingness to embrace multi-cultural working environment. Required Experience: * A four (4) year degree in business or engineering, or related field. * A minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a senior facility / strategic role or equivalent business setting * Candidates applying for positions with Hyundai-Kia must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
