Job Summary

Dominion Energy is currently seeking a Supervisor - Nuclear Engineering in the Subsequent License Renewal (SLR) Project organization at Surry Power Station in Surry, VA

This position will report to the Manager – Nuclear Projects SLR. The assigned area of responsibility will be managed to ensure compliance with legal requirements, and in accordance with established company policies and procedures. The selected candidate will provide leadership and direction to the Electrical/Digital Engineering group that will support extending the operating life of Surry Power Station for safe, cost effective and efficient nuclear power station operations. In addition, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Coordinate all technical design aspects for all Electrical/Digital Engineering disciplines of SLR projects requiring site and/or corporate support and selected Engineering firms and equipment vendors

• Coordinate quality Owner’s acceptance reviews (Engineering Changes, Procurement Specs and studies) with vendors and/or corporate/station resources

• Department Corrective Action Coordinator (DCAC) and Performance Improvement (i.e. Department Self Evaluation Meetings and Training Review Board) representative

• Direct Supervision for the Electrical/Digital engineers for work quality and performance management

• Own the SLR Projects Electrical/Digital engineer list and support Long Range Planning (LRP) integration

• Facilitate the hiring of Electrical/Digital engineers for the SLR team (Dominion direct and contract engineers)

• Attend the LRP / PHWG / PHSC meetings

• Support PMs with coordination of projects into outages or on-line with LRP

The successful candidate may be required to be a member of the Emergency Response Organization. In addition to leadership of the selected work group, the successful candidate will perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and education required for entry into this job include the following:

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering plus 7 years of engineering experience (must have at least 2 years of nuclear experience)

• Demonstrated/proven experience in a leadership-type role is required.

• Demonstrated ability to understand a wide variety of topics and be sufficiently intrusive to ensure all work items under their area of responsibility are produced with the highest of quality including technical accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

• Two years in a supervisoryor other leadership role

• Knowledge and experience in nuclear industry standard design change processes and procedures

• Knowledge and experience in the 10CFR50.59 process including Regulatory Evaluations

• Previous or current SRO license or certification or STA certification

• Previous experience with nuclear power plant systems (commercial or nuclear)

• Previous leadership training

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Discipline(s): Engineering, Engineering Technology

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

ANSI 3.1-2014, Section 4.4.8 (must be documented on form HR-AA-101)

Education: Baccalaureate degree in engineering or related science.

Minimum Experience for the position:

Related experience which shall include 4 yrs; Nuclear power plant experience to include 1 yr. On site experience to include .25 yr.

Note: Years of experience in job summary exceed the ANSI requirement for related experience (7+ years required for Supv Nuclear Engineering).
