You are responsible for

  • Accountable for the integrity of the financial statements of the ORUs and ensure the related internal control framework within the region

  • Ensures consistent application of R2R processes in line with prescribed global standards

  • Manage stakeholders in the region and strengthen the relationships with the business

  • Assist RTR Lead to deploy global transformation project

  • Review processes, identify, access, and execute the process improvement for accounting/financial reporting

  • Lead the team to deliver month end closing with quality

  • Lead the team to deliver financial statement analytical review from accounting perspective

  • Leads discussions with the BP (Pre-MEC, MEC TS, evaluation of business events, structuring of contacts)

  • Lead the team to harmonize the preparing, reviews and signs off on monitoring controls (BSAR, BSR, TSR, ICS)

  • Accountable to drive and deliver on performance targets within the scope of the region.

You are a part of

Philips GBS Accounting Operation Team

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or Accounting

  • At least 3 years’ experience in relevant position

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience with 5+ years’ GL accountant or F&PA experience in finance, preferably controlling or accounting in multinational companies.

  • Proven strength in running GL & reporting functions, setting up principles and processes, preferred to be in MNCs.

  • Master level capabilities required in Process improvement and Project & Change management

  • Advanced level capabilities required in Managing controls and Analytics & systems

  • Advanced level capabilities required in Financial Accounting & Reporting and competencies in Influencing business decisions

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.

  • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills, excellent conflict management skills.

  • Experience with lean practices and metrics.

  • Good command of English, both oral and written.

  • Knowledge of SAP is a MUST.
