Philips Transport Specialist in Suzhou, China

In this role, you have the opportunity to

  • Build a high growth business that will help improve the lives of millions of people in China, while advancing Philips digital transformation journey as a global leader in Health Technology;

You are responsible for

  • Suppliers shipments exception flow management to Medical Devices Factories

  • Draw up and maintain the transportation plan for production raw material within a long-term time frame

  • To calculate the transport capacity and to draw up the transport plan on a long term basis, based upon the customer demand and the promised delivery date

  • To set up and maintain overall system parameters

  • Obtain and analyze data from the transport system to formulate adjustments to the schedules and design new transportation schedules

  • Contribute, as part of working groups, to the implementation of new control systems and the improvement of planning procedures and methods

  • May lead small transport projects, managing a small number of people

  • To generate reports and dashboards by using advanced BI tool to assist decision-making

  • Builds productive internal/external relationships

  • Ensures that transports are timely, efficient and effective (cost-conscious)

  • Plans transport and processes the data correctly and accurately in the system

  • Take action to save on transportation costs

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Degree holder in Logistics and Supply Chain or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics area

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Macro or VBA

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau or Python would be a plus.

  • In depth knowledge of transport planning techniques and how to apply them in different situations

  • Project management /Green belt training

  • Knows overall SAP-system and applications

Knows how to systematically draw up a route planning
