Courier/Receiver

VALUE STREAM / DEPARTMENT:

Inventory Control Department

STATUS & PAY CLASS:

Full Time - Hourly / Non-Exempt

SHIFT:

1st Shift / Overtime May Be Required

WORK SCHEDULE:

Alternative work hours may be considered, if applicable

WAGE RATE:

Earn up to \$22.75/hour

Starting wage is negotiable based on previous knowledge/experience

POSITION SUMMARY:

An Inventory Control Courier & Receiver acts as the primary Courier for Vermont Precision Tools. The employee also performs a variety of clerical and hands-on tasks that are associated with receiving Inbound Material.

Essential Job Functions

As a Courier, the employee will be responsible to make frequent trips utilizing the company vehicle that satisfy the needs of various departments.

Job functions include:

The employee is responsible for the operation of the company vehicle as well as following and complying with all DOT and VT State Laws.

Will communicate with the accounting department on delivery and receipt of daily deposits

Responsible for pickup and delivery of mail from the postal office

Will be required to make short or intermediate length to deliver or pick up necessary item

As a receiver the employee will be responsible for handling all duties pertaining to Inbound Material. Job functions include:

Perform quality inspection tasks associated with receiving procedures per company standards

Will be required to enter data into the computer system for all Purchase Order receipts and Returned Material Authorizations on a daily basis

Will be trained, certified and expected to maintain certification for operating manual forklift, fork truck and pallet jack

Essential Job Functions Continued

Will be responsible for the distribution of items to the end user/requestor, throughout the facility including:

Finished Goods, Raw Materials, MRO and RMA

Will be required to manage Mezzanine inventory in an orderly manner.

Replenishment of supplies to all necessary VS and Monuments

Receipt and issue transactions within the ERP system to maintain correct balances

Process vendor returns of defective material

Cycle counting of MTS raw material and finished goods

Communicate with accounting relating to various credit information, and credit hold customers

Packaging of all out going shipments, using the proper packaging materials for the weight and size of the products being shipped

Follows all company policies, ergonomic standards, and safety requirements

Perform other duties as required
