The Opportunity:

As a member of the Integrated Data Environment (IDE) team within this major maritime program you will be responsible for technology projects focused on data capture, storage, security and governanace. This is a critical function that will cross multiple areas of the business and be pivotal in our success. You will be required to participate in the fulfilment of all security requirements, governance tasks, compliance initiatives, planning design and utilisation interfaces and liaising with internal and external business areas to ensure alignment of project scope.

In this role you will use specialised knowledge and skills to solve complex and unique problems. The IDE team will be responsible for developing and implementing the IDE management plan, ensuring continued data support and minimising all service interruptions. Your experience will bring constant innovation and continuous improvement thinking to this critical area.

These are permanent opportunities based in Sydney.

Roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Collaborate with each functional area to develop ICT tools to support operational needs such as user facing databases and other collaboration tools.

  • Monitor and advise on the design, utilisation and support of the IDE systems.

  • Provide subject matter expert advice regarding support services, management of DMS services, matters relating to proposed introduction of new services and planning for service interruptions.

  • Plan, schedule and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of ICT techniques, procedures, and criteria.

  • Perform work which involves conventional practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, systems integration, information security, and difficult coordination requirements.

Baseline defence security clearance or higher is required to be considered for this role
