Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organised Executive Assistant (EA) to join our fast-paced and creative APJ marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Regional Marketing Director, Asia Pacific & Japan and partner closely with senior leadership to drive key marketing initiatives forward and shape the future of our business.

The position will be based in Amazon Australia’s corporate offices in Sydney or Melbourne.

Key job responsibilities

 Primary Point of Contact: As the Executive Assistant, you'll be the go-to person for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the Director’s time is focused on strategic priorities and business-critical initiatives.

 Complex Calendar & Travel Management: Efficiently manage the Director’s schedule, including coordinating meetings, travel arrangements, and expense reports.

 Strategic Administrative Support: Prepare agendas, manage follow-ups, and assist with key presentations and projects. You'll help ensure smooth day-to-day operations and drive productivity across the marketing leadership team.

 Project & Event Management: Get involved in exciting marketing events, team initiatives, and ad-hoc projects that contribute to the broader goals of the marketing team.

 Key Liaison: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and alignment on high-priority marketing efforts.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience Supporting Senior Executives: You have a proven track record of supporting C-suite or senior executives in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on marketing or a similar creative industry.

  • Exceptional Organizational Skills: Your attention to detail is second to none, and you thrive in managing complex schedules, travel bookings, and high-volume communications.

  • Confidentiality & Professionalism: You know how to handle sensitive information with care, maintaining the highest level of discretion.

  • Communication Excellence: You’re a natural communicator with strong verbal and written skills, able to effectively engage with a variety of stakeholders.

  • Tech Savvy: You’re proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and comfortable navigating new tools and platforms to streamline workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a marketing, communications, or creative industry support role.

  • A team player with a positive outlook and a passion for contributing to the success of the wider team.
