SUNY Upstate Medical University Department Chair and Program Director in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

The Department Chairperson and Program Director assumes leadership and management responsibilities. The position is responsible for strategic planning, faculty assessment and development, overseeing departmental operations and budgeting, ongoing program assessment and accreditation, maintaining an active scholarly agenda, teaching in one's area of expertise, and promoting collaborative scholarship and inter-professional educational programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree and Certification as Physician Assistant. 3 years of full-time experience in higher education in faculty or administrative role. Demonstrated organizational leadership. Knowledge of requirements for national program accreditation through ARC-PA

Preferred Qualifications:

Greater than three years full-time experience in higher education in faculty or administrative role. Experience with accreditation through ARC-PA. Record of successful scholarship commensurate with the rank of Associate Professor
