AMERICAN CYBERSYSTEMS INC. Legal Assistant/Paralegal in Syracuse, New York
Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Legal Assistant/Paralegal.
- Position type: Full time
- Location: Ithaca, New York
- Job/ Shift Hours: Monday- Friday
- Assist attorney in all phases of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support and other related matters
- Assist with case file management, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all relevant information and correspondence
- Preparation of legal documents to include pleadings, motions, petitions, discovery requests and settlement agreements
- Preparing and filing documents with state and federal courts
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings and other court appearances
- Provide administrative support, including answering phone calls and managing correspondence with current and potential clients
- Foster a collaborative work environment by actively engaging with attorneys, paralegals and firm administration, sharing knowledge, resources, and best practices and contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the firm's legal practice.
- Must have 2 plus years of experience as an Administrative Assistant/Legal Secretary in a law firm, preferably in family and matrimonial law
- Professional approach to work with focus on client service.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, follow-up, and initiative to complete tasks independently
- Ability to multi-task and adjust to changing work priorities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and effective deal with a client base under stressful circumstances
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, in particular Word and Excel.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $25- $29 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
