CNY Centro Maintenance Coordinator in Syracuse, New York

DEPARTMENT: Maintenance, Central New York Regional Transportation Authority SALARY RANGE: Grade 4- $46,216 to $51,657 Note: Starting salary is determined by evaluation of experience and qualifications for the position and will be set at some point between the minimum and maximum of the pay scale. JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing administrative and secretarial support relating to maintenance operations. Position is non-exempt. REQUIRED HOURS: Monday-Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm MAJOR DUTIES: 1. Closes work orders, enters mileage at time of repair, labor code, mechanic number, number of repair hours, and corrective measures performed; enters cost of commercial repairs when performed. 2. Run daily reports for Preventative Maintenance 3. Work with stockroom to ensure warranty work and outside costs are accounted for on each work order as needed. 4. Reviews monthly tire report. Work with contracted company to create monthly invoice per lease agreement. 5. Maintain proper storage of work orders and reports. 6. Collects documents such as work orders, check lists, DVIRs for audits, Triennale review, DOT/PTSB inspections. 7. Train mechanics on new work order procedures. 8. Performs the duties of Maintenance/Information and Personnel Administrator in their absence. 9. Performs general clerical duties as needed such as answering the phone, making copies, and typing. 10. Submits requisitions for materials or services required for the department. 11. Performs other related duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION: Education: Minimum Associates degree required (Equivalent work experience in a transportation or disability services setting will be considered.) 1. Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. 2. Knowledge of basic accounting practices and procedures. 3. Knowledge of authority policies and procedures. 4. Skill in the use of such office equipment as a computer, telephone, copier, facsimile machine, and calculator. 5. Skill in the use of record-keeping, spreadsheet, and word processing software packages. 6. Skill in oral and written communication.
