SUNY Upstate Medical University Office Assistant 2 in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

Prepares and scans medical records into ChartMaxx (electronic document management system). Retrieve, create, reassign, delete and process patient information into ChartMaxx and Epic. Retrieve paper medical records from the units/other locations throughout the facility daily. Maintains productivity standards of scanning documents within 24 hours of receipt and at the rate of 1,800 documents per day. Performs routine corrections and operates/understands ChartMaxx such as Scanning Operator, Quality Review and Navigator. Processes requests for patient information using the Release of Information module in Epic.

Minimum Qualifications:

Promotional:

Must be a qualified employee of New York State and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as an office assistant, clerical or keyboarding title allocated to Grade 5 or higher. Open competitive (Non-competitive, NY HELPS) Qualifications:

One year of clerical experience

Work Days:

Schedule based on a 40 hour work week. Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. This position is located at the Community Campus.

NY HELPS appointments may be temporary pending commissioner approval or permanent based on candidate eligibility.
