Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced devops engineer to join our tight-knit team of engineers. As Sr Build & Release Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team by implementing and maintaining build pipelines, continuous deployment/testing processes, automated application deployment, monitoring solutions, and cloud integration for Edison Datalogue Connect.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with the development team to design, implement, and maintain robust build pipelines and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes for our products.

  • Develop and implement automated application deployment scripts and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

  • Configure and manage monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the health, performance, and reliability of our cloud infrastructure and applications.

  • Design and implement cloud integration solutions to seamlessly connect our software products with various cloud services and platforms.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to deployment, performance, and scalability in a timely manner.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the development team as needed.

Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.

  • Solid understanding of DevOps principles and best practices.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
