General Motors Global Customs Document Solicitation Junior Analyst in Taguig City, Philippines

Work Arrangement:

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.

The Role

The main role of the employee includes Preferential Solicitation for US import, refunds and qualification for duty avoidance, Non-Preferential Solicitation to support US expedited release programs, CCA, various GM warehouse COO information and USGR, attend IRP- Immediate Response Process – dutiable items crossing into the US, American Automobile Labeling Act (AALA) for labeling compliance. All documents solicited and submitted by the supplier in GM solicitation portal will be reviewed and processed by the analyst on a daily basis.

What You'll Do

Customs and Document Solicitation

  • Perform auditing of customs documents per assigned letter load

  • Processing Documents on supplier’s behalf

  • Follow up with Global Suppliers on Customs Documents, both email and phone calls

  • Escalate non-responsive suppliers as needed

  • Communicate Document errors to suppliers

  • Perform analysis when supplier dispute document address.

  • Work to obtain a new contact when needed

  • Assist and encourage suppliers in using Document Solicitation System and conduct training as needed.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment

  • Create process improvements as needed

Communication and Relationship

  • Communicate as needed with Document Solicitation team

  • Escalating critical issues timely

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills

Additional Duties

  • Assist with critical projects when they arise

  • Ability to change priorities quickly

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Customs, Business or equivalent

  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to understand, interpret and compare feedback results

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to teamwork and partnerships

  • Strong oral and written communication skills to all levels of the organization

  • High level of integrity regarding confidential data (employee survey responses)

  • Willingness to work hybrid on mid shift (5:00 PM to 2:00 AM)
