Google Machine Management Software Engineer, Google Cloud Platform in Taipei, Taiwan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in system software development (e.g., BIOS, BMC, Linux kernels, system libraries).

  • Experience with Unix/Linux environments.

  • Experience coding in C or C++.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with server standards and hardware protocols (e.g., I2C, I3C, SPI, USB, PCIe, NVMe, MCTP, PLDM, NVMe-MI, Redfish).

  • Experience with open source server management software.

  • Experience with open transport protocols, RPCs, encodings (e.g., HTTP, gRPC, JSON, Protobuf).

  • Experience with CI-CD tools.

  • Experience with open telemetry standards and protocols (e.g., gNMI, OpenConfig).

  • Design, develop, and support software in the embedded server.

  • Work with open-source software like OpenBMC.

  • Design, develop, and support distributed systems software interfacing.

  • Develop, integrate, and maintain software test infrastructure from unit to integration tests.

  • Manage vendor engagement from the design phase to integration testing, and delivery.
