JOB SUMMARY:

This is a professional role as an Incident Response and Recovery Information Security Analyst on the DOR Information Security Team in Tallahassee. You'll play a key part in cybersecurity, a rapidly growing field, and report to the department's manager. Combining information security response and recovery with emergency management and business continuity, you'll create plans and procedures to safeguard information systems. This includes developing strategies, communicating security goals, monitoring progress, participating in risk assessments, addressing audit findings, and collaborating with other IT teams. Success requires experience in both information security and emergency management, as you'll develop plans for various situations and ensure compliance with regulations and frameworks.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Six years or more of advanced level cybersecurity, technology analysis, or emergency management work conducting research to identify, protect, or restore various information technology resources. Analysis work should include monitoring and identifying cybersecurity controls, gathering information, report/document writing, and communicating with various stakeholders.

  • At least one year of experience in emergency preparedness or emergency management.

  • At least one year of experience performing computer security incident response duties or cybersecurity analysis work.

  • Experience with 60GG-2 Florida Administrative Code, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and NIST SP 800-53.

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools.

    SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer security, computer science, emergency management, business administration or closely related focus may substitute for four years.

    PREFERENCES:

  • Experience supporting continuity of operations for government agencies.

  • Knowledge of disaster response protocols and state/local plans.

  • Active listed or similar level certification.

  • FEMA ICS training (IS-100, IS-200, etc.).

  • Emergency management certifications such as: CEM, MEPP, CBCP.

  • Cybersecurity certifications such as: CISSP, GEIR, GSEC, GCIH, CISA, CASP+.

  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and project management.

  • Experience operating ambiguous environments and dynamic environments.

  • Excellent customer service skills and commitment to continuous improvement.

  • A Master’s degree in cybersecurity or emergency management or closely related focus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

    SPECIAL NOTES:

  • Position located in Tallahassee, Florida and is eligible for part-time telework after initial training period.

    SALARY: The tentative salary for this position is $72,000.00.
