Maintenance Parts Inventory Clerk   Position Description: Whirlwind Steel Buildings, Inc., is looking for a reliable and organized Maintenance Parts Inventory Clerk to join the Maintenance Team in Tallapoosa, GA. The Maintenance Parts Inventory Clerk will be responsible for overseeing all the parts warehouse inventory process from start to finish, as well as helping to ensure that all inventory of parts and consumables are properly maintained and locatable. The ideal candidate will have good organizational skills, be outstanding in computer skills and have experience in an industrial environmental, metal mechanical industry. Whirlwind’s goal is to provide fabricated structures for families, congregations, and businesses in the most efficient manner, while maintaining a safe work environment. The role of the Maintenance Parts Inventory Clerk for the Maintenance Department is crucial to the overall manufacturing process of our products. Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor.   Responsibilities * Oversee the parts warehouse inventory process from start to finish. * Counting materials, equipment, merchandise or supplies in stock. * Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records. * Stocking parts. * Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain bin checks to ensure accuracy of stocks. * Develop and issue computer reports as requested. * Performs cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy. * Receive and inventory stock. * Keep an up-to-date record of materials used so that minimum stock levels are maintained. * Stock parts/consumables. * Use computer software to properly find storage within the shop area. * Work with machinery parts and consumables. * Works with maintenance and project personnel to identify parts, materials and any equipment needed. * Check out and returns inventory. * Kits and stages parts for work orders. * Keep organized and clean shelves area. * Other various tasks as assigned. Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently. * Ability to independently manage time and set priorities. * Must have great collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work closely with cross-functional teams. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * High School Diploma or Equivalent. * Must be highly proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook. * Fast typing skills with a high level of accuracy. * Outstanding organizational skills * Excellent written and verbal skills * Ability to work in a diverse team environment. * Ability to work in a machinery parts store & repair shop. * Ability to work weekends when necessary. * Be able to work independently with moderate supervision. * Knowledge of CMMS. Experience: * Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in inventory control or warehouse management. * Minimum 2 years’ experience working in manufacturing environment recommended. * 1+ years’ experience with ordering and/or purchasing, preferably within MRO or maintenance. * 1+ years' experience in inventory and part-room management. * Microsoft Office: 3 years (required). * Microsoft Excel: 3 years (Required). Compensation & Benefits:             This is a full-time position, hourly job. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.   Schedule: * 8 hours shift. * Morning Shift * Monday to Friday. * Weekends as needed. * Limited Overtime.
