We provide consultants to the Florida Department of Transportation for their Maintenance projects. As a consultant, we provide services for maintenance inspection and contract coordination.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Experience with Construction or Maintenance

  • At least 2 years in construction administration/ inspection

  • Advanced computer skills (GIS strongly preferred, strong computer skills a must)

  • High School diploma

  • Valid certifications such as: ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I, FDOT Asphalt Field Level 1, FDOT Earthwork Level I

  • Knowledge of construction practices and principles

  • Intermediate mathematical skills in order to perform field calculations

  • Ability to gather and understand technical data for purposes of generating technical reports

  • Advanced interpersonal skills in order to work with clients and/or project teams

  • Proficient in MS Office Suites and MS Project

  • Ability to travel

  • Valid State’s driver’s license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check

Essential Functions:

Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, often will need to walk on uneven ground, occasional exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
