Position Description

• Provides direct supervision to assigned employees and perform as shift supervisor on nights and week-ends. • Coordinates daily tasks with Terminal Magement • Assist Terminal Management in establishing and meeting goals and objectives for the terminal • Reviews and enforces policies and procedures; institutes and evaluate employee training • Monitoring employee performance, attendance, punctuality and general compliance with requirements • Assists in providing adequate and competent staffing of the facility • Reviews all reports to monitor proper equipment maintenance and work efficiency • Assists in investigating accidents and "near-misses" • Assist in coordinating with crews on the receiving, unloading and loading of vessels • Assist in coordinating the switching of all railcars • Ensures that employees maintain a clean and safe work environment • Coordinates vessel and railcar schedules with customers • Review and distribute vessel nominations and schedule specific inventories for loading/unloading • Review, edit, update, and finalize all vessel paperwork upon completion • Organizes and executes site procurement • Works with production crew as necessary to relieve employees or increase production • Organizes and maintains technical data relating to facility operations and maintenance • Other duties as required or directed by Terminal Management

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma and 3 to 5 years operations experience in bulk terminals or 4 year college degree with 1 year supervisory experience. • Must pass and complete safety training/certification as required by Kinder Morgan • Regular work attendance is required • Must be willing to work overtime hours during the week and/or weekends as dictated by operations • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from Managers, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, follow work rules and work cooperatively with other people • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of bulk material storage and handling. This includes rail and water movements of bulk material products • Must have ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously • Must be able to demonstrated ability to supervise others, lead by example, and manage projects • Should have basic knowledge of heavy equipment, conveyor systems and vessel operations • Should have basic knowledge of rail and vessel loading/unloading required • Should have basic mechanical knowledge. •Must be able to work swing shift rotating days to nights Preferred Experience: • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook • Good oral and written communication skills • Time management skills •
