This position requires to develop products and product lines from concept through pro-duction using engineering skills and technical abilities. This position also requires to provide engineering support services for field applications and research activities.

Main responsibilities

• Analyses research data and proposed product specifications to determine feasibility of product proposal with the support of the system engineer or the engineering manager.

• Confers with research personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop designs.

• Directs and coordinates manufacturing or building of prototype product or system.

• Plans and develops experimental test programs.

• Analyses test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.

• Evaluates engineering test results for possible application to development of systems or other uses.

• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.

• Apply basic engineering and technical theory to various projects.

Candidate profile

• Qualified mechanical engineer with at least 2 years of experience

• Experience in Railway or Automotive Industry is a plus

• Ability to write technical documentation for documenting design theory, calculations, procedures, instructions, test plans, and test reports.

• Ability to comprehend and apply principles of calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory.

• Ability to work with concepts such as limits, quadratic equations, linear and non-linear equations, and proofs of theorems.

• Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, E-mail, FEA Software, database soft-ware and project scheduling software.

• Advanced PTC CREO / CATIA / Auto CAD user

• Fluent in Spanish and English
