Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Associate Scientist Sample Management in Tarrytown, New York

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist to join the Sample Management Group at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. As a member of our team, you will support the operation of automated lab equipment. With the support of management, the successful candidate will perform routine technical tasks and will begin to manage, organize, and troubleshoot more independently.

As an Assoc Scientist in the Sample Management team, your typical day might include:

  • Operating automated systems including biospecimen storage, retrieval systems, and liquid handlers.

  • Understanding automation programs with assistance, handling errors and performing maintenance on automated systems under supervision.

  • Communicating effectively within Bioanalytical Sciences as well as with groups throughout Regeneron and/or outside vendors to obtain and provide equipment related assistance in support of clinical programs and collaborations.

  • Assisting in the qualification and validation of new automated systems.

  • Utilizing LIMS (Lab Information Management System) to accurately track sample movements in real time and ELN (Electronic Lab Notebook)for equipment documentation purposes.

  • Utilizing VBA macros to estimate and record run-times of tasks on automated systems as well as writing VBA macros to support task organization and metric tracking.

  • Maintaining GLP compliance for all laboratory work and documentation related to biospecimen data management and sample handling in accordance with FDA regulations and company SOPs. Assisting in maintaining GLP compliance in the laboratory.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have earned your bachelors or masters and possess 0-4 years of relevant laboratory experience. Operational knowledge of laboratory equipment and a basic understanding on clinical study protocols and procedures for specimen handling and storage is preferred.

Salary Range (annually)

$68,000.00 - $106,400.00
