Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Formulation Processes Development Scientist in Tarrytown, New York

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Formulation Processes Development Scientist for our Tarrytown, NY location to support setup of in-house drug product process development capabilities in our Formulations Development Group. Independently design, execute and document formulation, and fill and finish development studies to understand impact of process parameters on product quality attributes. Use analytical and computational methods to support process development studies, small scale models, support laboratory layout and setup, procure tools and equipment, oversee equipment installation and operation, and work closely with key members of formulation development, manufacturing and facility management teams to develop full functionality of drug product process laboratory. Write complete internal and/or external publications including peer reviewed publications, patents, and business plans. Author and review guidelines, protocols and reports, regulatory sections, and risk assessments to support technology transfer to manufacturing sites. Seek out, recognize and assess existing and new technologies to improve process development capabilities in Formulations Development Group.

Job Requirements:
Qualified applicants will have a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely related scientific field. Must have the following skills: drug product (formulation and process) development and characterization; using analytical instruments in characterizing protein therapeutics; hands-on experience and know-how of DP process related unit operations; and developing and implementing small scale models. Skills may be gained in pursuit of the required degree. 5% domestic or international travel.
