The Opportunity

For our Structural Heart Division SH we are currently looking for a Sales & Clinical Specialist MitraClip & TriClip to join our great team in Israel. This will be a field-based position requiring daily travelling across the country.

Main purpose of the job:

  • Responsible for providing clinical case coverage of our TMTI (MitraClip& TriClip) technology.

  • Recruit patients by working closely with physicians and directly calling on referral sources.

  • Assist cardiologists in the of potential patients. In providing clinical coverage, train interventional cardiologists, Cath lab staff, and ancillary personnel on the use of our TMTI system, and providetechnical supportto physicians during procedures.

  • Responsible fordata disseminationin his sites and among referral chain of influence.

What You'll do:

Proctoring

  • Be proctor certified according to the Abbott Structural Heart training process.

  • Providetechnical supportto clinicians during TMTI procedures.

  • Demonstrate procedural steps for all involved physicians and staff at sites.

  • Assist Cath lab personnel with set-up and break-down for procedures and with product handling/inventory management.

  • Implement field based physician andstaff trainingprograms.

Site Management

  • Collaborate with center to provide goodclinical outcomesfor the patients.

  • Facilitate communication among the diverse constituents (Interventionalists, Echocardiologists, sonographers, cardiac anesthesiologists, CV surgeons, Cath lab management, etc.) that need to work together effectively to generate patients for treatment, procedurescheduling, and successfulclinical outcomes.

  • Manage logistics between the site and Abbott Structural Heart related to procedural support.

Patient Recruitment / referral

  • Screen patients and create detailed reports to ensure that site personnel have the skills required to determine patient eligibility.

  • Organize outreach events for referring physicians: dinnerpresentations,CMEcourses, etc.

  • Optimize process regardingpatient screeningand procedurescheduling

Patient Selection

  • Keep medical team informed about patient selection criteria

  • Share own experience with Doctors in order to help them to refine their patient selection

Data Dissemination

  • Will disseminate data during “clinical campaigns”

  • Will attend EHQ training in order to keep knowledge up to date

Required experience and background:

  • University degree inlife sciencesormarketing preferred.

  • Ideally prior experience in MedicalClinical Support/Sales,Medical training(RN,EMT, Perfusion, etc.).

  • Strong clinical orientation: training clinicians and providingtechnical assistanceduring procedures, including trouble-shooting.

  • Versatile: able to influence a variety of clinician personality types.

  • Compliant: respect all rules set byAbbott.

  • Stronganalytical skills: able to identify and resolve issues and to adapt best practices across institutions.

  • Unsurpassed communication andinterpersonal skills: to build relationships and obtain results.

  • Well developedcomputerskills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment that rewards contribution.

  • Ability to work with 2D visualization to construct mental 3D device position.

  • Willingness to travel from time to time (Training, procedure coverage).

  • Ability to work long hours in a cath lab (in lead) at least several days per week.

  • Fluent inEnglish and Hebrew.

  • Proven track record in the clinical introduction of sophisticatedtherapeutic, procedure-enabling devices that requires significant clinician training.

  • Experience with products for use ininterventional cardiology,cardiac rhythm managementorcardiac surgery; experience insalesof new concepts; familiarity ofechocardiographyor other indirectimagingis strongly preferred.
