The Opportunity

This position works out of our Temecula, CA location in the Vascular division.

Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. Our extensive portfolio includes drug-eluting stents, bare metal stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices and peripheral stents.

What You’ll Work On

  • Performs a variety of duties in the electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, chemical, or optical areas.

  • Builds or assembles prototype materials, components, subassemblies and assemblies.

  • Constructs, operates, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, maintains and tests equipment, systems or products.

  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.

  • Performs tests, analyzes data and writes reports.

  • Reviews or develops processing or manufacturing instructions.

  • Maintains detailed documentation through all phases of development, testing and analysis.

  • May assist in the transfer of technology and/or contribute in cross-functional discussions regarding device performance allegations.

  • (Influence/Leadership) May provide work direction to other employees in work group.

  • (Planning/Organization) Actively participates in comprehensive development of plans including an outline of duties and project assignments.

  • Demonstrates independence by prioritizing and completing assignments.

  • (Decision Making/Impact) Solves unusually complex problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious. Develops information which extends the existing boundaries of knowledge in a given field. Troubleshoots problems.

Required Qualifications

  • Two-year degree with 8+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and technical work experience. May also require a license or certification in the area of expertise.

  • Experience creating 2D or 3D technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) systems for complex construction or product manufacturing projects

  • Experience operating a manual milling machine

The base pay for this position is $27.60 – $55.20 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
