Job Description

Join our team atOmni Tempe Hotel at ASU, a vibrant addition to downtown Tempe. Our property boasts 330 guest rooms, including 11 suites, and almost 36,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space, including Tempe's largest ballroom. As aGroupSales Manager, you'll be an integral part of a team that amplifies the excitement and serenity of our urban oasis.

With a design that integrates the industrial feel of ASU with the serenity of the desert, our hotel is a unique destination in the heart of Tempe. We offer a dynamic mix of dining and event spaces, including a rooftop bar and pool deck, providing unmatched views and experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage sales strategies to target groups of 10-99 rooms on peak in all markets within the West Coast region.

  • Efficiently handle leads for small groups and those with short booking windows, ensuring a streamlined and responsive sales process.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to create and execute sales plans that maximize revenue and occupancy.

  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, providing exceptional service and identifying potential opportunities for growth.

  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure client needs are met, from initial inquiry to event completion.

  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and potential leads to ensure the hotel's competitive edge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in business, communications, or hotel management preferred.

  • One to two or more years of related experience in group sales work in an upscale or luxury full-service hotel setting is preferred.

  • Must have experience in "cold call" solicitation, contract closing, site inspections/visits with clients, setting up fam trips and contract negotiations.

  • Participate in development training through Omni Hotels & Resorts.

  • Remain current with all pertinent computer software programs, such as Salesforce and Delphi FDC.

  • Have working knowledge of all departments, the hotel and its amenities.

  • Participate in all sales meetings.

  • Submit SMART Plans & Development Goals, and Market Place Action Plans yearly.
