Scope:
Global Logistics Analyst provides intelligence & insights to support the strategic mission of the Global Logistics & Distribution team. The role leads cost reduction identification, cost/benefit analysis, performance metrics management & reporting, and project management. Working closely with the logistics leadership team, the Global Logistics Analyst is a key contributor to the team’s effort to drive business value by leveraging data to improve processes and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Provides support for strategic logistics decision making by gathering the required data, analyzing, preparing for presentation, and making recommendations for improvements
Develop logistics cost savings strategies aligned with CLS Global Logistics & Distribution strategies & plant/regional distribution center stakeholders.
Drive analytics on high volume/high cost/problematic lanes to root cause identification & solution recommendation
Lead projects to optimize logistics improving service quality, cost, & network performance, through project planning, resource identification & management, milestone reporting, and stakeholder communication
Manage objectives & project metrics via dashboards to monitor performance and communicate to stakeholders
Collaborate with the Global Logistics Organization network optimization team to understand related opportunities, develop models, evaluate what-if scenarios, and propose solutions
Take ownership of areas of responsibility to identify issues, leverage tools & best practices, and continuously improve
Ad hoc reporting and analytics as required
Required Qualifications
Knowledge of supply chain/logistics concepts and processes
Ability to analyze data and present effectively
Solid problem-solving skills
Demonstrated project management skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Detail-oriented
Business acumen
Proficiency with analytical & data visualization tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.) and ability to learn new tools/systems
Fluent in English
Required Education and Area of Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, data analytics, engineering, or other applicable field of study; advanced degree preferred
5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or other applicable field with global exposure
Travel Requirements
• 10-20% including international
Desired Experience
Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
Working knowledge of ERP and/or logistics-related systems
Proven experiences on logistics project management, network design, or other applicable supply chain initiatives
Able to develop relationships and communicate well within a global team
