Job Description:

  • Per Diem Schedule

The Nurse (RN or LPN) provides high quality nursing care to the clients being treated at the Treatment Center. Assesses client's physical and psychological condition on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care. This is a great position for someone who wants to make a critical impact in the lives of those who are struggling with addiction!

The Tewksbury Treatment Center is a detoxification program dedicated to helping men and women by providing 24 hour nursing care to monitor an individual’s withdrawal from alcohol and/or other drugs and alleviate symptoms. Clients are provided with the medical and emotional support that they need during the one of the most pivotal stages in the recovery process.

Responsibilities:

  • Records and reports all observed symptoms, reactions to treatments and changes in patients safety status

  • Administers medications to patients

  • Collaborates with team in providing health information and maintains clients’ medical records

  • Responds to patient care needs/issues and assists patients with activities of daily living, promoting a positive therapeutic environment

  • Assists with the admitting, discharge and transfer process

  • Participates in treatment team meetings & assists with development of care plans

Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Massachusetts licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse

  • Current certification in CPR

  • Experience with addiction treatment services preferred, but not required

Schedule: Part-Time, 16 hrs, 3pm-11pm
