The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center is seeking an experienced neurologist to join our dynamic group of Teleneurology Providers in the department of Neurology at the McGovern Medical School. In partnership with the Harris Health System and the Memorial Hermann Hospital System, the department offers abundant clinical, academic, and administrative opportunities.
Position Key Accountabilities:
The department is looking for a board certified/eligible neurologist, who is driven and desirous of being part of a rapidly growing department based at the world-renowned Texas Medical Center and and also has had some exposure or training in providing telemedicine. Selected candidate will also participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
This is a Clinical Educator Track position, but for the right candidate we can provide resources for research. Selected candidate will have the opportunity to participate in innovative health care models and engage in field-leading research and receive support to develop federal and private grants if interested.
Minimum Qualifications :
-Graduate of an ACGME-accredited neurology residency
-ACGME vascular neurology fellowship training or equivalent training a plus
-Active board certifications
-Full medical licensure in the State of Texas (or be eligible)
-Experience in the treatment and management of General Neurology and
Stroke via Telemedicine
-Outstanding clinical, interpersonal and communication skills, coupled
with excellent administrative and organizational abilities.
