Kelly Services Supply Chain Coordinator in Thornhill, Ontario
Our well-established client in Thornhill has partnered with Kelly Services to recruit for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our dynamic team on a 3-month contract with the potential of extension. We are looking for an experienced professional to manage activities related to monitoring and controlling the inventory of products. This position works with all departments to ensure that all supply and inventory planning activities are met and communicated successfully.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Logistics:
Coordinate transportation arrangements with carriers and freight forwarders on inbound.
Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and industry standard, including collecting blanket free trade agreements with each supplier annually.
Assist warehouse on any inbound missing shipping documentation or ASNs.
Respond to any customs clearance inquires of inbound purchases.
Track shipments and provide status updates to stakeholders.
POC for the new customs CARM program. Initiated by the government of revenue Canada, to be implemented Q4 2023.
Host regular meetings with warehouse to coordinate priority shipments on upcoming inbound rushes receipts.
Provide input on logistics-related matters during cross-functional meetings.
Inventory Management:
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between actual and recorded inventory. Balance and reconcile variances for month end in timely fashion.
Authorize sample movement request forms, ensure adequate stock is available to fulfill order request.
Responsible for maintaining product master data accuracy and completing item set ups with the warehouse and in Oracle.
Maintain details/ accurate records of all inventory movements (Pos, adjustment. Cycle counts) for audit purposes.
Special Project:
POC for Global Master Data system
Collaborate with Brand Managers and Global on new product development and provide input to support on-time product launches. Gain understanding on launch lead time, MOQ, set up and communication/ coordination for successful execution to market.
Responsible for global data maintenance (such as; launch requests, product status change requests, Kit Requests)
Liaison with global data maintenance for system integrity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience 3+ years in logistics coordination, preferably in a pharmaceutical or CPG industry.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in logistics software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures is a plus.
Knowledge of supply chain management principles for MFG and order fulfillment for OTC.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
