Inventory Control Analyst

We have a job opening and exciting opportunity for a full-time* Inventory Control Analyst in our *Tiffin, OH or Earth City, MO or Andersonville, TN *locations. An Inventory Control Analyst* will provide communication to departments on analyzed stock requests, inventory levels, and dead stock and takes the appropriate action to ensure we are keeping the correct amount of inventory in each location.

Essential Functions:

This position works directly with the customer's logistics department as well as other internal departments to facilitate day to day customer needs by providing excellent service, problem resolution and open communication.

Inventory Disposition Management: Analyze inventory regularly to determine the best course of action for product disposition, including vendor returns, customer buyouts, or product transfers. Utilize knowledge of products and vendor return policies to make informed decisions on restock fees and freight costs.

Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open communication with account managers, customer service, and return departments regarding non-moving/excess inventory. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address dead or obsolete inventory issues and ensure timely billing for restock fees and freight charges.

Return Policy Maintenance: Ensure accuracy and currency of return policies in the Inventory Application (VAI) by updating vendor return policies as needed.

*Vendor Relations: *Establish direct communication channels with vendors to facilitate return processes, obtain return authorizations (RGAs), shipping instructions, and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly. Utilize internal Supplier Relations contacts if additional help is needed.

Receiving Management: Collaborate with receiving departments to address inventory discrepancies, such as overages, shortages, or damaged products. Leverage product knowledge and experience to mitigate potential impacts on company operations.

Cycle Counts: Initiate cycle counts for significant variances, shortages, or packaging changes, ensuring accurate inventory levels and improved fill rates for customers.

Warehouse Coordination: Coordinate with warehouse locations to facilitate timely and accurate returns, minimizing expenses and dead stock levels. Communicate effectively regarding inventory changes, packaging updates, and consolidation efforts.

Dated/Expired Product Management: Lead efforts to identify and address dated or expired products across locations, preventing distribution of short-dated items to customers and maintaining system accuracy.

Inventory Optimization: Determine optimal inventory movement strategies, including transfers between locations, to minimize overstock and reduce costs associated with returns. Make informed decisions balancing transfer expenses against vendor restock fees.
