What You Will Do

The position is responsible for:

  • The position is part of External Manufacturing Team in Japan to ensure the supply chain targets are delivered on cost, compliance, safety, and customer service based on regional collaboration.

  • This will be possible through interdependent partnering with local functional teams APAC External Manufacturing, external manufacturing sites, various teams and APAC Supply Chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for the leadership, coordination & successful implementation of programs & projects related to All EM’s located in Japan in support of business strategies and objectives initiated by Marketing, Supply Chain, EM and Quality/Compliance, such as MRA/GRC(Micro Risk Assessment, Global Regulatory Compliance), NPD, NPI, Network Optimization, SEI (Supplier Enabled Innovation), BCP, CIP (Cost Improvement Program), Customer Service.

  • Represent Japan EM in regional connects/APSC (Asia Pacific Supply Chain) Serve as the vital linkage for the Japan EM sites with strong collaboration with internal stakeholders. Actively participate in all site activities that require EM support.

  • Lead and drive Quality System and Compliance deployment to Japan EMs by collaborating with Regional Compliance Leaders.

  • Drive Make CIP programs related to Japan EM. Provide on-site support for the qualification and leadership in the site implementation of regional CIP initiatives related to EM.

  • Manage EM related issues in Japan by working together with regional EM leaders, other regional EM teams as well as in-country Supply Chain/Technical teams for the solution identification and execution.

  • Coordinate with and assist other sites (including sites in the region or outside APAC region) for the global or regional sourcing change projects related to EM. This includes providing input to customers to improve the understanding of EM capabilities, etc.

  • Support the optimization of EM network, continuously reduce the complexity, and improve the efficiency.

  • Communicate with customers in Japan or the region for EM project status, success stories, highlighting the role and contribution of EM to the attainment of country, regional and global objectives.

  • As a core member of Japan Supply Chain team, collaborate closely with all other in country Supply Chain functions.

  • Partnering with EM Source person for driving Japan EM Financial objectives, including CIP.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree, MBA or other financial certifications (i.e. CPA, CMA) are preferred.

  • A minimum of 5 years of business partnering experience is required.

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required.

  • Innovative mindset & ability to shape solutions is key for success.

  • Individual must work well in an agile environment and be able to identify and lead improvements; willing to challenge the status-quo

  • Ability to influence and effectively connect with all levels of the organization within a global complex environment across multiple business and initiatives, is required.

  • Travel may be required up to 10%

  • Experienced in use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
