Our ‘Engineer III' is an entry-level position typically will work in assigned project and will report to Director/Manager of Product Delivery & Integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Entry level ability in software development project in the requirement gathering, solutioning, testing and overall technical delivery.

  • Function as an active member of a software development project team by collaborating with business, central technology team, market BA’s as well as regional engineers.

  • Participate in code reviews and automated testing while needed.

  • Debug and test basic software components and identify code defects for remediation.

  • Support and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environments

  • Automate deployments in test or production environments.

  • Adhere to security and regulatory best practices.

  • Develop necessary script, program to meet regional technology support needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Up to 2 years of software development experience in a professional environment

  • Understanding of Agile or other rapid application development methods

  • Exposure to design and coding across one or more platforms and languages as appropriate

  • Exposure to methods relating to application design, software development, and automated testing.

  • General knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases

  • Understanding of object-oriented design and coding with variety of languages

  • Learns and applies new technologies and techniques.

  • Demonstrates good analytical skills.

  • Clearly communicates ideas and concepts to others.

  • Manages assigned tasks effectively; acts on own initiative without being prompted.

  • Able to understand and use data structures and associated components.

  • Defines test conditions based on the functional and non-functional requirements provided.

  • Understands the core tools used in the planning, analyzing, crafting, building, testing, configuring, and maintaining of assigned application(s)

  • Monitors system performance and availability and improves software quality through root cause analysis.

  • Familiar with infrastructure technologies and components

  • Japanese and English language proficiency (read, write, speak).

  • Flexibility to work in multiple time zone.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field required.
