Amazon Head of Consumer Intelligence, Japan Prime and Marketing in Tokyo, Japan
Description
We are looking for a passionate and talented individual to join Amazon Japan's JP Prime and Marketing organization to lead the Consumer Intelligence team. The Head of Consumer Intelligence is responsible for providing critical insights from the breadth of intelligence (both qualitative and quantitative) to influence Amazon Japan's business strategy. The role will closely partner with your colleagues in the JP Prime and Marketing org, as well as finance, retail category, and technology teams globally. The role will require strong curiosity with thoughtful creative approach to problem solving, strong analytical and strategic mindset, and ability to work cross functionally across a large matrixed organization.
Key job responsibilities
Steer the company's strategic priorities and plans by providing JP consumer, market, customer experience insights, working closely with leaders to develop insight implications and align objectives with the company's vision and mission
Ensure successful implementation of insights initiatives, partnering with stakeholders on updates and changes. Develop and judge priorities, track KPIs and goals across the leadership team to assure consistent alignment across departments.
Develop Consumer Intelligence strategy, plans and roadmap. Oversee and guide Consumer Intelligence capabilities & best practices. Manage Consumer Intelligence teams' performance through prioritization, engagement, & coaching.
Invent mechanism to understand, identify and measure consumer, market and customer experience and develop consumer intelligence insights by analyzing consumer data, metrics, anecdotes to assess the effectiveness of current strategies and recommend improvements
Track consumer trends and conduct market and customer experience, user experience researches to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities
Analyze and interpret consumer research to uncover insights that will inform growth strategy, innovation, brand positioning or operational improvement
Deliver JP consumer and market cultural contexts corresponding to global models
Use business and market intelligence to predict risk and disruption to the business
About the team
The Consumer Intelligence team is a critical member of Japan Prime and Marketing org, where our org charter covers extensive breadth of strategic business domains in consumer (retail) marketing space (Prime membership, Customer Lifecycle, Mass-Ads, Automated Performance Marketing, Deal Events, Loyalty Points, Delivery Experience, Shopping CX, Business Development and Decision Science). Consumer Intelligence team provides critical Japanese local customer insights to this org as well as Amazon Japan overall.

Basic Qualifications
10+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
Experience managing teams
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
Excellent oral and written communication skills both for English and Japanese.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with time-tracking/resource management tools
Experience with budgeting and scheduling software
