At Manulife the Global Retirement Team within Global Wealth and Asset Management Segment, is looking for a rock star Intermediate Cloud-native Engineer who is excited to participate in the successful implementation and support of AWS Connect and Contact Center modernization. You will have an amazing experience as a Intermediate engineer, designing, engineering, testing, maintaining, and improving software applications within Agile squads.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of AWS software engineering experience

  • Experience in designing and implementing Framework and API / Service Layer such as NodeJS, Spring Boot (Rest Template, Feign Client, Zuul, Sleuth/Zipkin, Hystrix and Maven), Swagger, Stoplight.io, Node/Express.

  • Core programming experience using Java .

  • Solid understanding of security protocols such as Oauth2, AuthN/AuthZ.

  • Experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on and Identity management.

  • Experience in Cloud PaaS and microservice architectures in Kubernetes and AWS

  • Demonstrated experience in designing, coding, testing, and supporting multiple AWS Connect implementations.

  • Proficiency with AWS native services that integrate with AWS Connect, including EC2, S3, Cloudwatch, Autoscaling, Lambda , Lex , Polly , Kinesis , RDS , Contact Lens, Contact Control Panel (CCP) . and DynamoDB .

  • Practical experience with integrating AWS Connect and Salesforce CTI.

  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools such as AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Chef, and Terraform.

  • Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and experience establishing new AWS environments or modifying existing ones to align with AWS WAF.

  • Knowledge of TekVision or Cyara automated testing of call flows and call experience.

  • Knowledge in SonarQube, Fortify and Snyk

  • Experience in Agile scrum methodologies and experience of working in an Agile team

  • Experienced in grasping high level *solution architecture *

  • API engineering and integration experience

  • Develop application components that are reusable, efficient, and easy to maintain

  • Build new and refactor existing code to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability.

  • Research, evaluate, and prototype emerging technologies

  • Mentor Associate Software Engineers

  • Collaborate closely with team members and architects in an Agile environment

  • Work closely with other squads to drive innovative solutions to meet business needs

  • Work closely with software engineers to establish best practices for development, testing, and delivery

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$74,270.00 CAD - $137,930.00 CAD
