Job Description:

Department / Position Overview:

The TD Global AML Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) department is accountable for establishing TD's Global Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorist Financing, Economic Sanctions and Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption (collectively, AML) program to ensure that all TD businesses adhere with AML regulatory expectations in all jurisdictions where TD operates. This includes setting consistent standards across business segments that may be further tailored to specific business or jurisdictional requirements; conducting periodic enterprise-wide AML risk assessments; maintaining the Global AML Policy (including Know Your Customer and Enhanced Due Diligence, record keeping & retention requirements); currency transaction and suspicious transaction monitoring and reporting; screening TD customers against regulatory watch lists; a hierarchy of designated AML officer functions; enterprise-wide and specialized AML training of employees; and independent AML testing.

Job Description:

The Senior Analyst, FCRM Reporting, Strategic Insights will report to the Senior Manager, FCRM, Strategic Insights. General accountabilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support the production of Senior Executive reports and presentations for FCRM.

  • Facilitate executive meetings, including coordinating meetings, preparing materials and documenting minutes and action items.

  • Coordinate the reporting processes and support the evolution of FCRM reporting by recommending and making enhancements as required.

  • Collect content (i.e., data and commentary) from various stakeholders to compile reports for senior executives by synthesizing data, provide strategic insights, identify any trends, opportunities, and challenges that can inform management decision-making.

  • Work with stakeholders to support both departmental and external partner needs and overseeing the integrity of data and ensuring accuracy of internal reporting.

  • Support the preparation of ad hoc reports to executive management as required.

  • Monitor the internal and external environment for trends, themes, emerging risks and assist in the preparation of quarterly reports and executive speaking notes.

  • Coordinate information requests and submission related to audit and other inquiries regarding the FCRM Reporting function.

  • Develop and maintain procedures, job aids and repository of reports and email communication.

  • Proactively identify and implement continuous improvements.

  • Assist on strategic initiatives and special projects as required.

  • Lead projects of moderately to complex risks and resource requirements; may lead end to-end processes or functional programs.

  • Contact for business management, external/internal auditors, dealing with non-routine information.

  • Recommend and implement solutions within own area of responsibility.

  • May need to coordinate / integrate work with other areas as needed.

Job Requirements / Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • University degree is preferred, and CAMS designation would be an asset

  • Strong experience in Compliance or AML

  • Strong reporting and communications background and ability to write executive level communications and reports

  • Experience preparing presentation materials, including PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of data visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI or similar platforms

  • Experience creating and maintaining dashboards and visual reports to effectively communicate insights

  • Strong ability to synthesize information and adapt it to meet the needs of the audience

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship management skills

  • Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to distill and communicate complex information

  • Ability to work independently, apply critical and strategic thinking to issues, make timely decisions, and manage deadlines while multi-tasking amongst different projects and priorities

  • Strong collaborative skills and experience partnering, building and working with teams across jurisdictions preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and interact with all levels within the organization

  • Ability to operate in an evolving, sometimes ambiguous, environment

  • Strong research, investigative and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with aggressive deadlines

  • Ability to communicate effectively and build good working relationships with diverse groups to identify issues, reach consensus and implement workable solutions

  • Ability to identify and recommend process improvements and/or automation opportunities to enhance the productivity and operational efficiency of the function

  • Strong proficiency in SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
