At Jacobs, Quality Assurance is crucial to the success of our projects and the strong relationships we have with our clients. As an experienced Senior Quality Coordinator, you’ll work on specifying the quality requirements during tendering phase and developing and implementing an effective quality assurance plan during development and implementation phase identifying KPIs, processes, procedures, audit programs and other control measures, through which monitor quality performance of all parties and make them accountable to their contractual obligations with regards to quality. You’ll have the support, means and space to deliver your best work, today and into tomorrow. Based in Toronto, you’ll have the chance to use communication and negotiation skills to guide, influence, and convince others, interact internally with Project Delivery Teams and multiple departments in corporate offices, and externally with different contractual parties involved in the project, such as Prime Contractor, Technical Advisor, Third-Party Utility companies, municipalities, delivery partners, and any other consultants and subconsultants hired by Owner for successful delivery of the project. Here’s what you’ll need :

  • At least 8 years’ experience working in the Quality Assurance field within heavy civil or industrial projects. * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Civil Engineering) or equivalent certified technical training. * Good understanding of different type of contracts, including P3 and Non-P3, progressive (collaborative) contracts such as Alliance, as well as Transit Oriented Communities (TOC), and Construction at Risk. * Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Ideally, You’ll Also Have: * An understanding of local building and Engineering codes and standards. * ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, IRCA/IQA Registered Lead. * Professional Engineering registration is preferred. * PMP certification is preferred. The Senior Quality Coordinator is a focal point for all Quality Assurance matters for the Project and will be responsible for 1. Preparing and maintaining the Project Quality Assurance Plan (PQAP). 2. Supports the project delivery team in implementing the PQAP. 3. Provides support to establish quality requirements for contractors in tendering documents, review the draft of the Project Agreement schedule for Quality Management, response to quality RFIs and monitor contractor compliance to the requirements post contract award. 4. Review contractor Quality Manual and associated Quality Management Plan (QMP) submittals along with other quality documentation submitted by Technical Advisors, Construction Contractors, other services contractor, and Delivery Partners. 5. Coordinate internal quality audits in accordance with the CPG Management Systems Audit Procedure. 6. Conduct audits on the contractors’ and service providers’ (TAs, construction contractors, other services contractor) QMPs in accordance with the CPG Management Systems Audit Procedure and the respective Contract or Project Agreement requirements. 7. Monitor, measure and report the quality performance of Contractors/ TA(S) and all Service providers working on the Project and Report on Quality Key Performance Indicators monthly. 8. Contribute to the Monthly Works report / Quality update. 9. Provide training on QMS and related procedures such as NCR, Lessons Learned etc. 10. Identify Continual Improvement opportunities. 11. Participate in the project weekly meetings. 12. Participate in the Quality Working Group meetings with Project Co and TA to report on and resolve issues related to Quality Management.
