Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Torrance, California

Description We are on the lookout for a Sr. Financial Analyst in the automotive industry, based in Torrance, California. The successful candidate will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities including financial reporting, budgeting, and complex problem solving. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in finance and accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing financial data and preparing reports for upper-level management.

• Overseeing budgeting processes and managing company budgets.

• Conducting month-end journal entry reviews.

• Utilizing SAP, Oracle, or similar software for data management.

• Solving complex financial problems and making recommendations based on findings.

• Working with various business systems such as Confluence and CRM.

• Applying knowledge of data mining techniques to extract key financial insights.

• Conducting audits and ensuring all accounting functions are performed correctly.

• Managing capital and ensuring the company's financial health.

• Working beyond standard hours as needed to meet workload and project demands. Requirements • Applicant must have a minimum of five years of experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role within the Automotive industry.

• Proficiency in business systems and Confluence is required.

• Experience with CRM systems and Crystal Reports is necessary.

• Knowledge of data mining techniques and About Time software is expected.

• Mastery of accounting functions, auditing, budget processes, and capital management is essential.

• Must have excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and presentation skills are needed.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.

• Applicant must have a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Master’s degree in a related field or relevant certification (such as CFA/CPA) would be advantageous.

• Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles is essential.

• Must have the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Experience in preparing financial reports and forecasting is required.

• Proficiency in financial modeling techniques is expected.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment are needed.
