As a member of the Global Procurement Category team, Global Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Manager- Industrial Goods & Services is focused on execution of sourcing strategies to deliver on category strategy as well as end to end delivery of sourcing and supplier management initiatives delivering value from category spend and supplier eco-system. This follows up with core accountabilities around contract implementation with the business, benefits tracking and assurance over holistic value delivery from negotiated contracts and appointed strategic suppliers.

Your goal:

Apart from key accountability around managing strategic sourcing and supplier management the role is also expected to lead discovery of open opportunities within assigned spend and / or geography and look for strategic value added from key Partners. Global Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Manager is also expected to actively contribute to short and mid-term procurement activities plan for assigned category / geography in scope , as well as through existing market and business knowledge to provide inputs to long term category strategy covering financial and non-financial benefits (process efficiencies, ESG, risk and controls, compliance etc).

Your responsibilities:

• Execute strategic sourcing processes to meet business requirements and deliver optimal result with maximium efficiency.

• Manage sourcing and suppliers within assigned portfolio to provide capability, agility and best in class solutions to support JM transformation and growth.

• Contribute to a global category strategy development with sourcing and supplier management perspective as well as inputs from internal and external stakeholders.

• Drive best practices in strategic supplier management, performance monitoring and contract management.

• In a co-operation with Stakeholders and Suppliers work on TCO reduction for the category across sectors and regions.

• Propose and manage annual and multiyear sourcing plans to deliver best value to JM from existing market conditions, business changes and in support of long term category strategy.

• Coordinate collaboration and maximise value added from GBS team assigned to support Category team(s).

• Build and maintain category expertise in market intelligence and insights, as well as other category related developments (innovation, tools, new entrants etc) to lead best in class, competitive solutions.

Requirements for the role:

• Extensive experience in successfully leading and conducting the negotiation of contracts across technical, commercial and legal areas.

• Graduate qualification (ideally Master Degree educated), (and/or) proven strategic sourcing and supplier management experience in Automotive, FMCG and/or Chemical procurement of at least 5 years.

• Excellent functional Procurement experience managing portfolio across multiple geographies. Is able to include knowledge and experience of world-class portfolio management and sourcing practices.

• Ability to operate effectively in different cultures and across geographies, including managing stakeholders and colleagues remotely (across distance and time zones).

• Ability to balance total cost of ownership (TCO), strategic and tactical delivery.

• Strong project and change management capabilities.

• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

• Experience of leading, motivating and developing people through difficult period/ large change programs.
