Based: Madrid, Spain. Hybrid / Working on-location.

The SSP is our formal internship programs at SIEMENS Software. You will be mentored by guides and work directly with costumers to create direct business impact and again invaluable professional experience!

The program will last for 12 months from summer 2024 to summer 2025. There will be opportunity to learn and give in a variety of areas of the software development process, with emphasis on several achievable projects to both encourage your development and deliver something useful.

About the team!

Based in Madrid, Spain, we are a team of creative problem solvers, strong in maths and visual thinking. Our goal is to make Computer Aided Design easy and enjoyable, through our development of Siemens’ Synchronous Technology . We enjoy our work because of the substantial technical and creative challenges and because of its visual and spatial nature.

We are tasked with developing new solutions and given the time to innovate. We believe that innovation is incremental, experimental and team based. We take time to protect our intellectual property with around 30 patents filed.

What we’re looking for?

We're seeking passionate individuals studying Computer Science, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. If you love creative problem-solving in whole chain of marine CAD solution, including specification, coding, validation, documentation, testing, maintenance, and technical support, and have strong communication skills, we want you! This paid position is available for one year and offers a brilliant opportunity to work on extraordinary, complex software projects in marine field and in an exciting and varied enterprise environment for international marine industry-leading customers. What you’ll be doing at the Strategic Student Program (SSP)

This is a software development internship focusing on the design, implementation, documentation and testing of code in a variety of languages (C++, C#, Python) within a modern Agile environment. The internship will last for 12 months from September 2024 to August 2025. There will be opportunity to learn and give in a variety of areas of the marine software development and deployment processes, with emphasis on several achievable projects to both encourage your development and deliver something useful.

All about you!

  • Currently pursuing a degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.

  • Experience of C++, C#, Python.

  • Knowledge of shipbuilding and marine terminology.

  • Enough proficiency in English language.

  • Enjoy creative problem-solving and possess a passion for writing code and customer interaction.

  • Clear visual problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Desire to collaborate in a friendly team environment.
