Unity House Accounts Payable Specialist in Troy, New York

Looking for an administrative roll working for a great company? Unity House of Troy’s Finance Department has a great opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist!

Position may be eligible for a $750 sign on bonus

Responsibilities:

Daily process of accounts payable transactions such as invoices, expense reports, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos, payment transactions, journal entries and general ledger work.

Maintain all files and documentation accurately.

Prepare and complete weekly check runs.

Returns unapproved documents to appropriate person for approval, and follow-up to ensure their timely return.

Collect documents for payment, and ensures required approvals have been obtained prior to processing.

Audit and process company credit card bills and expense reports.

Reconcile vendor statements and general ledger expense accounts.

Manage vendor and employee inquiries.

Open and assign new vendor accounts.

Promote an environment of inclusion and belonging.

Requirements:

High school or GED required. College degree in related field preferred. At least two years experience in accounting required. Valid New York State driver license required. Reliable transportation. Experience with Excel required. Must be comfortable with computerized accounting systems.
