Description

Hybrid Controller role in the Trumbull area! This role is vital in driving and coordinating the financial strategy and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data, supervising finance personnel and ad hoc reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the company's financial strategy

• Direct and coordinate all accounting functions within the organization

• Oversee the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data for accurate accounting of business results

• Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, and governmental agency reports

• Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances

• Review and improve current planning processes

• Study long-range economic trends and project their impact on future growth in programs and operations

• Control and evaluate the organization's fundraising plans and capital structure

• Ensure appropriate cash flow for the organization's operations

• Supervise all finance personnel

• Manage vendor relationships

• Ensure compliance with the law and company's policies

• Utilize skills in 'Month End Close', 'Fund Accounting - Non-Profit', 'Abila MIP' to enhance job performance

Requirements

• Proficiency in 'Month End Close' operations is essential.

• Demonstrated experience in 'Fund Accounting - Non-Profit' is required.

• Must be adept in using 'Abila MIP' accounting software.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is needed.

• Professional certification such as CPA is highly desirable.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Solid understanding of financial regulations and legislation.

• Experience in a leadership role is preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, is required.

• Knowledge of general business software and appointment scheduling systems is desirable.

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proven ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
