    Position Summary:

    This position is "PRN/As Needed" in which employees work between 0-19.99 hours per week on an as needed basis and do not qualify for benefits.

The Windsor Cook adheres to sanitation guidelines and follows recipes to properly prepare and serve meals to the residents and to provide foods for special functions. Maintains the kitchen and all equipment in a safe and sanitary manner. In the absence of the Executive Chef or Lead Cook, provides supervision and direction to the Cook's Assistants and in areas concerning food to the wait staff.

Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS None Specified CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS IL Food Service Sanitation Manager within 3 months. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Two (2) years Hospitality/Food Services - Food Preparation Worker

Essential Functions:

  • Accurately receives and properly stores goods (food and supplies) when delivered by vendors.

  • Assists with the set up and clean up of the residents continental breakfast and special functions.

  • Ensures proper preparation and presentation of food products.

  • Ensures that all closing procedures have been completed (equipment turned off, kitchen cleaned, doors locked, etc.).

  • Introduces new recipes and menu ideas. Offers suggestions to improve existing recipes and procedures.
