Position Summary
The Computer Science Department at Utica University invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning Fall 2024 at the rank of Assistant Professor. All areas of research specializations will be considered.

Major Responsibilities
Candidates will show excellent pedagogical skills to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Candidates should be able to teach courses complementary to other faculty, design new courses as needed, conduct research, and serve on department and university committees. Teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester (actual number of courses depend on the number of credit hours assigned to each course). Inclusion of students in a research program is important.

Ph.D. in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems is required. ABDs will be considered if there is clear evidence that completion of the doctorate is imminent. Demonstrate research creativity and productivity, and an ability to develop a research program at Utica University. A strong commitment to excellence in education and in equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Minimum Skills/Abilities
We will consider applicants with broad interests as well as an area of focus that may include, but is not limited to, secure software engineering, artificial intelligence, deep learning, distributed computing, human computer interfaces, computer security, and advanced programming languages. Preference will be given to candidates with a record of teaching excellence, experience in curricular development, interest in interdisciplinary collaboration, demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and willingness to be involved in service. The ideal candidate will possess superior communication and organizational skills and demonstrate a passion for teaching.
