Description

Weyerhaeuser is searching for a Region Administrative Coordinator to join our Southern Timberlands team. The Region Administrative Coordinator is a vital part of the Carolina & Virginia (CVA) Region Team within Southern Timberlands, reporting directly to the CVA Region Manager. The CVA Region team comprises approximately 40 skilled professionals stationed across Lynchburg, VA, Summerville, SC, and Vanceboro, NC. This is a full-time, salaried non-exempt role located in Vanceboro, NC, with occasional overnight travel expected for off-site meetings (less than 5%). While some remote work flexibility is available, consistent office attendance is required.

Key Functions

As Region Administrative Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in providing support to the CVA Region team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Region Manager in ensuring safe and efficient operations, with a special emphasis on attention to detail and organizational skills to effectively manage primary responsibilities including:

  • Demonstrating and promoting safety as a role model while supporting administrative tasks related to the region's health and safety program and Weyerhaeuser’s audit process

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for various stakeholders, including employees, external agencies, contractors, and the general public

  • Managing the operations of the Cool Springs Environmental Education Center

  • Supporting the team by coordinating contracted services and building maintenance, managing parcel shipments and mail, maintaining office and forestry supplies, and assisting with scheduling and meeting preparations (room reservations, meals, logistics)

  • Overseeing the region’s leased vehicle program, including ordering and ensuring the team's vehicles are maintained in optimal condition

  • Welcoming and guiding office visitors, including conducting office safety orientations

  • Contributing to project teams, offering backup and support for special projects or other assigned duties

  • Collaborating with other region administrators to efficiently manage workload distribution and support the CVA Region's objectives as required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) with at least 5 years of relevant experience; an Associate’s Degree (or higher) in Business or related field is highly preferred

  • Enthusiastic, positive, and collaborative team player eager to expand their skills

  • Detail-oriented and adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to seamlessly manage multiple calendars in Outlook, coordinating schedules and appointments with exceptional precision

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (email & scheduling), Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft SharePoint, with a willingness to learn company-specific software

  • Strong desire to work collaboratively in a team setting and understand the broader business context

  • Proactive with a strong work ethic, demonstrating initiative and dedication to adapt as business priorities evolve

  • Able to anticipate and resolve issues independently with minimal guidance

  • Experience in contract administration is highly valued

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $48,175 - $72,193 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
