Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Vernon, Connecticut

Description

We are looking for a meticulous Payroll Administrator to join our team in Vernon, Connecticut. In this role, you'll be responsible for the administration of employee benefits and managing workers' compensation auditing and reporting. You will also be tasked with payroll processing and ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws and certified payroll reporting. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct onboarding and orientation for all employees.

• Oversee the employee benefits program and assist in the management of ESOP program and milestones.

• Handle workers' compensation auditing and reporting.

• Assist with payroll processing for employees using accounting software systems like ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian.

• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Prevailing Wage Laws to comply with Certified Payroll Reporting.

• Manage all employee maintenance and prevailing wage requirements.

• Oversee expenses related to payroll reimbursements and tool purchase requests.

• Manage temporary labor needs, invoicing, and hours approvals with agencies.

• Post job vacancies and pre-screen candidates for hiring manager across various platforms.

• Collaborate with management on all disciplinary actions and assist in performance reviews.

• Update policies and procedures according to company trends and needs, and communicate changes effectively.

• Handle social media and website updates.

• Oversee the CT apprenticeship program and maintain upkeep of documents and yearly compliance requirements.

• Ensure office and company compliance in accordance with state, local, and federal laws.

• Develop relationships with external partners and understand contracts for navigating external business relationships.

• Maintain company handbook and company policies.

Requirements • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now

• Knowledge of Ceridian software

• Ability to use Crystal Reports

• Understanding of 401k - RRSP Administration

• Experience with About Time software

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Benefit Functions
