What you will do as a CNC Machinist: Support production operations by performing low to moderate machining operations, operating one or more types of machine tools such as mills, drill presses, lathes, etc. Set up basic tooling, write and execute basic programs. Set up, operate and program a broad range of production work involving close tolerance and set ups that are exacting that are somewhat involved and have a low to moderate degree of difficulty. Read and interpret specific machining instructions from blueprints, part, and machine drawings. Perform secondary operations such as stamping part numbers and deburring during machine cycle times. Perform routine maintenance. Inspect machine parts to ensure they meet proper size, shape, or tolerance specs using micrometers and other measuring tools and devices.
