South Jersey Urology Consultants LLC Medical Assistant in Vineland, New Jersey
Manage the flow of patients by preparing the medical record for the visit, completing health forms, researching and calling in prescription renewals, notifying patients of normal test results, greeting/discharging and assisting patients and providing pre/post visit instructions. Prepare exam/treatment room, conduct brief interview, obtain and document vital signs, perform basic screening/diagnostic measures and collect and process specimens. Assist and chaperone providers during examinations, procedures and treatment if required. Perform and document clinical procedures per office standards. Maintain the cleanliness and general appearance of work, exam, and treatment areas: clean, disinfect, sterilize and maintain equipment and instruments. Stock exam/treatment rooms, order supplies, dispose of contaminated supplies. Assist with answering phones and taking messages for doctor and physician assistant. Prepare and administer injections and medications upon successful completion of Medication Administration course.
Requires HS Diploma/GED, and completion of medical assistant program. 1 year of experience with electronic health records. Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA).
